THE HIGH COURT Chancery 1 List Motions

Practictioners, further to the previous Notices  of the 14 May and 9 June 2020 please note the following:

CONSENT ORDERS

Please email (josephmcguane@courts.ie) exhibiting the Consent of all parties  and a Court Order will be made dated from the date the said Consent is received.  The said email together with a copy of the Consent will thereafter be placed on the Court File

 CONTESTED MOTIONS

Contested Motions that require a hearing date  in the above List from the adjourned Motions list dated the 23 March 2020 and each Monday thereafter to date  will now be listed for hearing on Monday the 29 of June 2020 and subsequent Mondays thereafter until all such Motions have been dealt with

N.B  Ex-Parte applications in the Monday Chancery 1 Motions List

Parties are required to email the Registrar ( josephmcguane@courts.ie)  in relation to all Ex Parte applications intended to be made each Monday together with a soft copyof the papers for the Judge by 10.00 a.m on the morning of the application. Parties will be advised thereafter as to when the Court will be in a position to deal with them.

HEARINGS

(a) Consent Orders and or Consent Adjournments will NOT be entertained on the day. due to Courtroom Capacity limitations during the Covid 19 restrictions. Similarly there will be no 2nd calling of the List

(b)   Motions which have issued from the Central Office with Return dates in June or July 2020  are adjourned to October 2020 dates for which will be reassigned in due course

(c) Parties must adhere to the 15 minute time slot  assigned for their Motion and NOT attend Court and thereby ensuring that Social Distancing requirements are adhered to at all times

MOTION PAPERS

A paginated indexed booklet of Pleadings together with a separate booklet of Court Orders and Correspondence ( where necessary) must be made available to the Court no later than 1.00 p m on the Thursday preceding the listing of their Motion.  Delivery of such Motion Papers  may be conducted via Post or DX or via hand delivery in an envelope clearly marked Chancery 1 List and placed in a box  this box will be situated in a room adjoining the Principal Registrars Office on the First Floor of the Four Courts Building (over head the Central Office) and Practitioners can only hand deliver the Papers for Court between the hours of 09.30 a m and 1.00 p m ( Tues to Thurs only) and this service will NOT be available on Mondays or Fridays

N. B Practitioners should check the Court Service website and the High Court Tracking System on an ongoing basis
